King and Queen of Pentacles Together

King and Queen of Pentacles Together

What does it mean when you receive the King and Queen of Pentacles together in a Tarot reading? Curious to know what it means when you have the Queen and King of Pentacles Court cards in combination in your general, love, or career Tarot card reading? Well, you’ve come to the right place!

I have previously written what it means when you get lots of Court Cards in your Tarot reading. However, I get asked a lot if there is any special significance to receiving the Kings and Queens of the same suit in a reading so I started this series. You can find links to the other articles here:

The Pentacles or Coins Courts represent the practical people of the suit. Usually, the individuals represented by the Pentacles Courts love to indulge in earthly pleasures; enjoy shopping and going to restaurants as a past time, and like to build their businesses and careers.

With the above general ‘Pentacles’ meaning in mind, I am going to interpret the Pentacles Kings and Queens.

Before we begin, I would like to point out that I generally interpret the meanings of the King and Queen differently depending on the type of a reading. For example, in relationship readings, I always interpret the Kings and Queens to represent lovers but wouldn’t always do this with career readings.

The King and Queen of Pentacles in a General Tarot Reading

If I was performing a general reading for a woman or a feminine personality, I would read the Queen of Pentacles as the seeker and the surrounding cards would show me how she behaves at her work/place of business. Therefore, the King of Pentacles would be a man who also works at her work, business, or is in the same industry.

When the King and Queen appear as Pentacles in a general reading, this tells me that you have a romantic interest in someone who you work with or who is in the same industry which you are. You may or may not have already begun a relationship with this person.

Does your lover currently not work with you? Then, in this case, the King and Queen of Pentacles in your general reading means that, in the future, you will meet someone who fits this description. You will eventually fall for and start dating someone you meet through work.

The fact that you are both appear as Pentacles tells me that you are a good fit with regards to money, power, status, and how you like to be perceived by the world.

The King and Queen of Pentacles Together in a Love Tarot Reading

In a love reading, I would read the King and Queen of Pentacles positively. These Courts like to keep up appearances with regards to family and tradition. It is important to the Pentacles suit to give the impression that they have ‘made it in life’.

When the King and Queen appear in combination in a relationship reading, this can reflect that both you and your partner desire having it all in life; the marriage, the kids, the pets, and a happy family home. You both feel as though this is expected of you.

The King and Queen of Pentacles in a love Tarot reading combination

However, although the King and Queen of Pentacles can predict that you and your lover will settle down together, this combination is not as favourable as receiving the King and Queen of Cups in a relationship reading. Sometimes, this King and Queen are more focused on how the world perceives them, money, and status than they are focused on loving and bonding with each other.

The King and Queen of Pentacles in a Career Tarot Reading

In a business or career reading, there are two possibilities when the King and Queen of Pentacles appear in combination in a reading. First, the Queen and King of Pentacles can predict that you and your partner will help each other with your careers and possibly have the same job, go into business, or work together in the future.

Alternatively, when I perform a reading for my business I always read the Pentacles suit to represent me and aspects of my personality. For example, the Page of Pentacles will reflect an area where I am being immature in my business but the King will show where I am being a proper boss.

When I get both the King and Queen in a business reading, these reflect areas where I am doing right and receiving either in an outcome or future position, for me, is very lucky. The Queen and King of Pentacles in combination shows that my priorities are right and in good balance. For example, I will be saving but spending; planning but doing; hustling but resting, and so on.

So, that is how I would interpret the King and Queen of Pentacles in combination in a Tarot general, love, and career or business reading. Remember, how you interpret Court cards in combination may be different for you, so it is best if you come up with your own combinations.

Of all of the Court cards, I often read the Swords Courts the most negatively. Usually, I read them as representing someone in your life who is causing you trouble be that an outsider, friend, family member, or even you yourself.

I understand that not all Tarot readers interpret the Swords Courts so negatively, so if you fall into this camp, feel free to mold my interpretation into something which makes sense for you.

Before you read my full interpretation below for what the King and Queen of Swords mean when they appear together, remember that I may interpret them differently for every reading; this is only a general guide. For example, sometimes I would read Court cards as outside people but other times I would read them as representing the seeker (the person getting the reading). Keep that in mind when reading the below interpretation!

The King and Queen of Swords in a General Tarot Reading

In general readings, I would interpret the King and Queen of Swords together as representing a couple who wish to do you harm. These individuals do not want what is best for you and have plotted together to try and destroy your goals.

In my experience, I have found that the Queen and King of Swords usually symbolizes two people who operate together in some way. For example, they may be two people at your place of employment, a romantic couple, or your parents.

The King and Queen of Swords in a love Tarot reading combination

It is entirely possible that the King and Queen of Swords negatively impact you but do not mean to do so. Your parents may be the type who is constantly giving you ‘constructive criticism’. What they feel is them helping you by being realistic, is actually not; they are shooting down your dreams. In these situations, your parents would appear as the King and Queen of Swords.

The King and Queen of Swords Together in a Love Tarot Reading

If the King and Queen of Swords appear together in a love reading, this can indicate two things; it can mean that outsiders are a bad influence on your relationship, or that you and your partner are both negative influences on each other.

If you’re finding that other people are quick to meddle in your relationship, then the King and Queen of Swords can represent these individuals. This interpretation is especially fitting if you or your lover’s parents both nit-pick at your partnership.

Alternatively, if you and your lover both have children to other people it is not unknown for those individuals to appear as the King and Queen of Swords, especially if they are causing you both trouble.

However, I have found that (in most cases) the Queen and King of Swords appear together in love or relationship readings because they symbolize both you and your partner.

Individuals appear as Swords Courts in relationship readings when they are unhappy. They no longer feel the same way they used to feel about their lover, and just ‘go through the motions’. The relationship lacks fun, excitement, and passion. Although this combination does not predict you will separate, it does not look good to have it in your love reading.

The King and Queen of Swords in a Career Tarot Reading

Are you in business? Then the Queen and the King of Swords represent your competitors. It is very possible that your biggest hurdle towards business success is your competitors; they are giving your ideal customer something which you are not supplying so stalk the competition and try to decipher what that thing might be.

Alternatively, if you are in a relationship the King and Queen of Swords together in your career reading is a sign that your partnership is having a negative impact on your career. If this is the case, you may want to make changes to your love life so that it doesn’t interfere in other places that are of importance to you.

Finally, in career readings, I have found that the King and Queen of Swords together most often represent your boss/bosses. This combination is a warning that those in charge wish to see you fail. Do not put all of your career eggs in one basket, especially if you do not feel as though your current job is secure.

King and Queen of Cups Together

The King and Queen of Cups Together

I have previously looked at how to interpret other Kings and Queens in combination, but what does it mean when you receive the King and Queen of Cups  together in a Tarot reading?  Curious to know what it means when you have the Queen and King of Cups Court cards in combination in your general, love, or career Tarot card reading? Well, wonder no more!

Unsurprisingly, of all Tarot card combinations, the King and Queen of Cups is the one which I most often get asked about interpreting. Readers often wish to know the significance of getting these two cards together in combination.

I suspect that I frequently get asked about the King and Queen of Cups combo because diviners perform most Tarot readings for relationship readings. Because the Queen and King of Cups are of the ‘love’ suit, getting them together in a reading is significant!

Previously I have written about what it means when you get The King and Queen of Wands in combination and will continue this ‘Kings and Queens in Combination’ series into the future. When those guides are published (if not already) you can find links to the other articles in this series here:

The King and Queen of Swords Together in a Tarot Reading

The King and Queen of Pentacles Together in a Tarot Reading

I mainly interpret the Cups suit in Tarot to symbolize love, romance, softness, and emotion.

There are times when I would interpret the Cups card to represent empathetic and psychic energy, but I do read a lot of other cards this way which aren’t Cups.

The Cups Courts represent people in your life who are loving, caring, romantic, and sensitive. Sometimes, the Cups can be overly sensitive, immature, and needy but not always. With the above general ‘Cups’ meaning in mind, I am going to interpret the King and Queen Cups together in combination below.

Before we begin, I would like to point out that I generally interpret the meanings of the King and Queen differently depending on the type of a reading. For example, in relationship readings I always interpret the Kings and Queens to represent lovers but wouldn’t always do this with career readings; that being said, how I interpret them does change based on the mood, and feel of the rest of the reading.

The King and Queen of Cups in a General Tarot Reading

No matter who I was performing a reading for, I would always take the King and Queen of Cups together in combination in a reading to symbolize a couple who are in perfect harmony.

When you receive a King and Queen of Cups together in a general reading (reading without a specific question), this means that you and your lover are the perfect match. Single? Don’t worry as this combination predicts that you will soon have a lover come into your life which fulfills all of your needs.

If you are female, the Queen of Cups represents you with the King symbolizing your lover. If you are male and straight, the King symbolizes you and the Queen represents your lover (or future lover). Towards each other, you will be loving, attentive, and will go out of your way to make the other feel safe.

I should quickly point out that I would read Kings and Queens the same way for gay and lesbian couples. However, in general, I usually always assign the Queen to the seeker (the person getting the reading) just because concern over the future and an interest in healing and intuition are generally viewed as ‘feminine’ traits as the Queen does. Therefore, I read the person receiving the reading as the Queen, but you might read this differently.

The King and Queen of Cups in a love Tarot reading combination

When the King and Queen appear together in a reading, it shows that your love life is an area of support. You can seek comfort from your partner and view them as someone who is loving and safe. However, if you do not see your partner this way be warned as in this case, sometimes the King of Cups can represent someone outside of your relationship who wishes to come in and provide you with things your current lover cannot.

The King and Queen of Cups Together in a Love Tarot Reading

I would generally read the King and Queen of Cups in a relationship reading the same way I would interpret them in a general reading but better! If you are reading on a potential relationship, the King and Queen of Cups in combination is a very good sign. When these two cards appear together, I predict that the seeker and their partner are madly in love with each other or will be in the future.

Sometimes, the King and Queen of Cups will appear together in the same love Tarot reading as a way to reassure the seeker that everything is fine and your relationship is likely to last. Therefore, do not put too much pressure on your partner. Let the universe and the spirits work their magic!

The King and Queen of Cups in a Career Tarot Reading

Depending on where the King and Queen fall in your career or business reading, this combination can be positive or negative.

In general, a King and Queen of Cups together in a career reading means that your lover (or potential lover) is a shoulder to cry on when work gets too difficult. Emotionally, your lover (or future lover) wishes to support you.

However, be warned. Sometimes, the King and Queen of Cups will appear together in a business/career reading when your love life is a distraction from your work. You may be too focused on your relationship and do not put enough energy into other important areas of your life.

In addition to the above interpretation, the Queen and King of Cups together in a work orientated reading can be a sign that you are much more likely to support your partners in their dreams than you are to focus on your own. You are also too considerate of how much your career impacts your partners instead of thinking about how not achieving your goals affects you.

If you find yourself canceling plans or dropping off of extra work to spend time with your lover, then it is time to take an honest look at why you are making these sacrifices.

So that’s it for how I would interpret the King of Cups and Queen of Cups  in combination. Remember, for your own readings go with your gut, assess the mood of the reading and surrounding cards to get the most accurate interpretation for the King and Queen combo.

King and Queen of Wands Together

The King and Queen of Wands Together

What does it mean when you receive the Queen and King of Wands together in a Tarot reading? Curious to know what it means when you have the Queen and King of Wands Court cards in combination in your general, love, or career Tarot card reading? Well, you can read this interpretation below!

Previously I have written about what it means when you can lots of Courts in a Tarot reading and what Court cards can represent. I have even run free online workshops on how to master Court cards.

I love reading and teaching Court cards because a lot of readers find them difficult to interpret. However, Court cards are magical and reflect the actions, feelings, and emotions of people in your life

There is something extra special about receiving the King and Queens of a suit together in combination. These occurrences have their own meanings, and today I am going to discuss what it means to get the Queen and King of Wands in combination in a Tarot reading.

I have written what the other King and Queen suits mean when they appear in combination. When those guides are published (if not already) you can find links to the other articles in this series here:

The King and Queen of Pentacles Together in a Tarot Reading

I mainly interpret the Wands suit in Tarot to symbolize energy, friends, creativity, challenges, and hobbies. I know a lot of Tarot readers who read them to represent work but I save this luxury for the Pentacles suit.

The Wands Courts represent people in your life who are of high energy. They are passionate, excitable, and filled with plans. They will have lots of interests and may even be focused on keeping fit; if not, they have a competitive nature (but in a fun way) and like to push themselves and others.

With the above general ‘Wands’ meaning in mind, I am going to interpret the King and Queen Wands together in combination.

Before we begin, I would like to point out that I generally interpret the meanings of the King and Queen differently depending on the type of reading. For example, in relationship readings, I always interpret the Kings and Queens to represent lovers but wouldn’t always do this with career readings. Keep that in mind when I give my interpretations:

The King and Queen of Wands in a General Tarot Reading

The King of Wands and Queen of Wands represent both the masculine and feminine aspects of the Wands suit, so when they appear in a reading together they are in perfect balance.

If I was performing a general reading for a female, I would read all Queens to represent her and different aspects of her personality. Any Kings which appear in the reading would symbolize men who she is (usually, but not always) romantically involved with in some way (emotionally, physically or spiritually), and Knights and Pages would symbolize other people.

As the Queens represent an aspect of your personality (if you are female) the Queen of Wands is an area in your life where you are fun-loving, carefree, energetic, interesting, and exciting. The King of Wands is a man in your life (or coming into your life) who shares these traits with you.

The King and Queen of Wands in a love Tarot reading combination

From experience, I know that if the King and Queen of Wands appear in your general reading (a reading without a question) in combination with the King of Wands, this usually means that there is an individual (the King) who has an interest in you romantically. It is typical for the King of Wands to represent a friend who has feelings for you, even if just slightly. The King of Wands may or may not be someone you are already in a partnership with, but it is certainly someone whom you know personally or are about to meet.

The King of Wands matches your energy. He is fun, humorous and doesn’t take life or himself too seriously. If this doesn’t sound like your current partner, the King of Wands serves as a warning that you and he are not well-suited. In the future, you will be more attracted to the King of Wands than you are your current partner.

The King and Queen of Wands Together in a Love Tarot Reading

In a love reading, the King and Queen of Wands together symbolize you and your partner. It is a very fortunate sign to receive the King and Queen of a suit together in a relationship reading because it means you are both on the same level and the Wands suit is no exception.

However, I should point out that if you want your partnership to go the extra mile you need to keep the relationship exciting. Go for walks together, complement each other, and stay physically fit. A little playful teasing every now and then also won’t hurt! Don’t take life too seriously.

The King and Queen of Wands in a Career Tarot Reading

If the King and Queen of Wands appear in a job or business reading, I will read this to represent two people in an authoritative position who will help you achieve goals that will have an indirect impact on your career. For example, fitness coaches or stop smoking experts who lead you to a healthier lifestyle which results in you becoming more productive.

So, that is how I would interpret the King of Wands and Queen of Wands together in combination in a Tarot general, love, and career or business reading. How you interpret Court cards in combination may be different for you. Try coming up with your own interpretations, and see how you get on!
